The ATC is an organization run by the RAF, and involves military style rankings, discipline and studies. In my time in the ATC I attended leadership courses, many drill competitions and various camps around the UK, including one in Cyprus, and gained my Bronze Duke of Edinborough award. I worked up though the ranks of Cadet, Corporal, Sergeant and then Flight Sergeant, at which point I had to leave due to studies.
